Shining Armour is:
Ivano Knight
Storyteller and creative strategist
People are more likely to believe a story about an individual, or an individual’s point of view, than they are facts.
You only need to look at recent political events, both here and in the US, and notice the momentum that social media has given to individual stories, to see the truth in that statement.
The need for acknowledgement through social media means our ability to recognise our colleagues, and their good intentions; their attempts to be their best selves, is increasingly important in supporting their growth and drive to want to be more than their job description.
And one story won’t do it… you need lots.

Because we are our story…
It’s often said that people leave most of their self at the door when they walk into work.
By illuminating the human, beyond the job role, I believe we can inspire people to contribute more than they’re asked to.
That’s my starting point with any story. And if we start from there, more often than not, we’ll see an organisation’s purpose and values in action, without even having to articulate them.
The torch box
Because I’m trying to stand out and be cool, I don’t talk about a “toolbox”. I prefer the term “torch-box”, because I like to shine a light on other people’s stories.

Storytelling: illuminating the ‘human’
Developing narrative strategy and creative activations
Content scoping for internal and external campaigns and events
Co-creation workshops (because my clients know their business better than anyone)
And I've used them a lot
I've worked in storytelling for decades, and I’ve worked with hundreds of clients around the world. I have extensive experience of change and transformation, and of internal and external communication across many sectors, including banking, healthcare and travel.
“Ivano’s strength is in his creativity and ability to see the big picture. He anchors that creativity in a pragmatic and structured approach, which makes those who work with him feel safe. It’s a unique gift.”
